La France

QuikPro France

On Wednesday I went to watch the pro-surfers compiting at the QuikPro. However, we first did a stop to surf and we only made it to the last minutes of the final heat.

there were people everywhere

40 seconds before the end of the heat, Julian was winning by almost 9 points... but Gabriel caught a last wave and did what he best does... surf the air :)

When I was a kid

My father emailed me these pictures a few days ago. It is curious to see myself in old photos, they bring so many great memories to my mind.

I started surfing when I was around 10, and, although now it is hard for me to accept not winning one surfing event, when those pictures were taken I could not even dream about what I have now.

It is crazy how we start fighting for a dream and if we get it we want more. I guess this is what keeps us alive. So "keep on dreaming, but also keep on fighting for your dreams" :)

3rd in Orrua

Hi everyone! :)

we had a great time yesterday at Orrua, I made it to the final, doing a good semifinal with two consistent waves. The final was the hardest I've had this year, because of the level of all the competitors. Garazi, although coming from an injury was surfing great her semifinal, Leticia has been doing it great since last year (she is the former 2010 Euskadi champion) and Mirka who has been in more finals than all of us together... I had the chance to do it better than I did, I caught some good waves, and although I only needed a 4.7 to take the lead I didnt make it...

Now, Leticia and me are co-leaders of the Euskadi championship and we will have to fight again for this championship in December at Mundaka!!! :)

Euskadi Zirkuitua - Zarautz/Orrua

Tomorrow is one of the final stops of the Euskadi Zirkuitua in Zarautz. Girls from all around the north coast are coming: many times Spanish champion Mirka Martin, Euskadi former champion Leticia Canales, the Spanish girl with more titles in women surfing Garazi Sanchez, a groom with a promising future in surfing Maddie, others and MEEE!!!!!! :) let's see what happens!!! :)
