Although Carissa's voice and behaviour might make us think sometimes that she is a "little girl", I think she is one of the most grown-up surfer in the WCT. Having taken her time to finish high-school while doing her first year at the WCT (missing some of the stops because of exams...), travelling around the world with her most loved ones and, of course, making her dreams come true. This all look to be a great life, but there are also hard things to deal with when you are in the point of view of a lot of people as she is...

and happy birthday to her!!! she is only 21, and it is because she has been in the surfing top for so long that it looks like she should be older.
